Fostering Saves Lives

Our community is a critical part of our efforts to help save the most vulnerable cats. In order to help more cats, we need foster volunteers willing to open up a space in their home for a cat in need. OAR provides all the guidance, covers any veterinary expenses and helps to screen adopters. We welcome our fosters to be as involved with the adoption process as they would like. Often times, all a cat needs is a quiet room in a home to decompress while they wait to find their special person. Most of the time, the cats in our care are actually really great with other cats, and can often be introduced to your existing pets after a period of time while waiting for adopters. This is what makes OAR Cats special; we truly get to know them on a personal level, in a home, so we can find the right adopter faster and have better long term outcomes.
